Every wildlife sighting helps us better understand the rich variety of species that live in and around Cockreed Lane. Whether you’ve spotted a hedgehog crossing the road, heard a skylark singing overhead or photographed butterflies along a hedgerow, your observations can contribute valuable evidence.
You don’t need to be a wildlife expert to help. Simply tell us what you saw, where you saw it and, if possible, upload a photograph. Every report helps us build a more complete picture of the habitats and wildlife that could be affected by the proposed development.

We’re interested in all wildlife sightings, not just rare or protected species. Birds, mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibians and wildflowers all help us build a better picture of the local environment.
No. We’ve designed the form to be as simple and flexible as possible. You can provide as much or as little information as you wish. Even a simple wildlife sighting with a photograph can provide valuable evidence.
Not at all. Simply describe the wildlife as best you can and upload a photograph if possible. Every report is appreciated, even if you’re unsure of the exact species.
Absolutely. We encourage you to submit a separate report for each sighting, particularly if they occurred at different locations or on different dates. Every report helps build a more complete picture of the wildlife using the area.
No. People of all ages are welcome to submit wildlife sightings. However, if you are under 18 and would like us to contact you about your report, please ensure you have permission from a parent or guardian and provide a parent or guardian’s email address instead of your own.
Your report will be reviewed by Cockreed Lane Action Group and may be used to help build evidence of the wildlife present around Cockreed Lane. If you’ve given permission, your photographs may also be used on our website, social media and other campaign materials to support the campaign.
